BUFFALO, NY/FORT ERIE, ON –The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority (PBA) announced that the Peace Bridge will be lit tonight in purple in recognition of Prince. The Peace Bridge joins several world landmarks illuminated to honor the musical artist following his passing.

“The Peace Bridge is proud to illuminate in remembrance of Prince and on behalf of Canada and the United States,” said Peace Bridge Authority board chairman Sam Hoyt. “We join many landmarks throughout the world in paying tribute to an artist known for his extensive and legendary musical career.”

For specialty lighting occasions, the Peace Bridge is illuminated along the bridge arches, truss, and spine, and can include intermittent color animation. Light shows commence at dusk and continue until 1:00 a.m. (EST). Tributes or memorial requests are granted for well-documented local or national figures, or service members.
