Peace Bridge Shining for USS Little Rock
Iconic bridge illuminated in blue, red and gold for Commissioning Ceremony
BUFFALO, NY/FORT ERIE, ON – The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority will light the Peace Bridge in blue, red and gold for the commissioning of the USS Little Rock LCS-9, a ceremony that will commemorate the warship’s entry into the U.S. Navy’s fleet. The sold-out Commissioning Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, December 16th, at Canalside in downtown Buffalo, next to the ship’s namesake, the USS Little Rock CLG-4.
For specialty lighting occasions, the Peace Bridge is illuminated along the bridge arches, truss, and spine, and can include intermittent color animation. Light shows commence at dusk and continue until 1:00 a.m. (EST).
