Washrooms to Re-Open for Truckers at Peace Bridge Duty Free
BUFFALO, NY/FORT ERIE, ON – The Peace Bridge Authority today announced that the washrooms will be re-opened May 1, 2020 at the Peace Bridge Duty Free store to accommodate U.S. bound truckers and will remain open for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Peace Bridge Temporary Late Night Closures
BUFFALO, NY/FORT ERIE, ON – From 2:00 AM to approximately 3:00 AM on Monday, October 1, 2018, the Peace Bridge will be closed to all traffic. This is to support the ongoing rehabilitation of the bridge deck.
There are bridge closures also scheduled for 2:00 AM on Tuesday, October 2; Wednesday, October 3; and Thursday, October 4. These bridge closures will be for an estimated 30-minute duration.
The $100 million rehabilitation project is scheduled for full completion in spring 2019.

Ken Manning Elected Chair of PBA Board of Directors
BUFFALO, NY/FORT ERIE, ON – The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority (PBA) today announced the election of Kenneth A. Manning as Chair of its board of directors and Tim Clutterbuck as Vice-Chair.
Kenneth A. Manning was elected Chair of the PBA board of directors. Manning was first appointed to the Board by Governor Andrew Cuomo in June 2016. Manning is a partner at Phillips Lytle LLP, where he has experience in corporate and commercial litigation. He also concentrates his practice in the area of education law and leads Phillips Lytle’s Education Practice Team. He is the past recipient of the University at Buffalo School of Law’s distinguished alumni award and various other pro bono community service awards from the New York State Bar Association. He has been ranked a “Top-50 Upstate New York Super Lawyer” and also serves on the Roswell Park Cancer Institute board of directors, the University at Buffalo School of Law Dean’s Advisory Council, and the Daemen College Community Advisory Board.

All Traffic Lanes on Peace Bridge to be Open for Summer Season
BUFFALO, NY/FORT ERIE, ON – The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority (Peace Bridge Authority) has begun the process of reopening the third traffic lane on the Peace Bridge for the 2018 summer travel season. This re-opening follows a reduction to two traffic lanes as of October 2017, which was undertaken to accommodate ongoing construction activities related to the Authority’s three year $100 million Peace Bridge rehabilitation project. All three lanes will be fully functional by the morning of May 16, 2018.

2018 Border Traffic Statistics Issued by the Bridge and Tunnel Operators Association (BTOA)
BUFFALO, NY/FORT ERIE, ON – Today the Bridge and Tunnel Operators Association (BTOA) released border crossing numbers for the year 2018 between the Province of Ontario and the States of Michigan and New York.
In 2018, compared to 2017, overall car crossings increased by 0.87%. Truck crossings declined by 0.11%. Combined there were 34,075,600 car, truck, and bus crossings, an increase of 0.63% or 214,473 vehicles.
